Fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Honestly the place seemed lovely and I would recommend it to anyone who does not mind terrible service and a long wait time for food. My party of 7's server, Jessy, was awful: he forgot our bread, spilt my beverage on my friend, and gave an attitude to everyone in my party in addition to messing up several orders. The managers did not help either- neither of the two apologized when we confronted them about our server's attitude and instead hid behind a 10% discount on each of our checks. The best thing there were the french fries and coconut shrimp. Crab cakes were decent. Gator tail was the smallest portions I've ever seen for $13.

Love this place! My sister always has us stop here off the boat when visit her in Florida. All of the wait staff are very nice and make you feel right at home. The food is pretty solid, but nothing super special. There is an area for live entertainment. Every time I have been here, there has been a band playing. There is an indoor dining area as well, if outside isn't for you.

Have been coming here for years. Great atmosphere and great for kids. Live music, dancing, and on the water. Food and service is spotty. Came here recently and our party got the peel and eat shrimp (not on menu) which were awesome. Meals included the burger, grouper sandwich, wings, and captains platter. Everything was fine except for the fish. The grouper was alright-a little dry. The mahi was a joke-hard, dry, cheap and every other characteristic you don't want in a fish. Service was good, not great. Come here for the music and good times, not for the food--or at least the fish.

Love this place and come at least once every time we're down here! Great wings and seafood! Amazing views of the water...have seen manatees and dolphins while eating there. We had Erin as a server twice this week and she was fantastic!

  • Rachel S.

Absolutely terrible service. We waited about an hour and a half for our food, the alligator bites (which aren't cheap) were a VERY small serving. All we ordered was coconut shrimp and a fish sandwich and everyone around us(who arrived much later than us) got their food way before we did. Came here every year for vacation, will not be returning.

  • Kelli S.

The service was horrible. Waitress brought drinks then disappeared for a whole hour!! Waited over hour and half for our food before deciding to try and leave. Only then did she come running out telling us they were "running behind" after $86 bill and not even so much as an apology we won't be ever returning. A hidden gem that can stay hidden.

Service slow but it was a holiday weekend so they were very busy. Had to ask for silverware after our food arrived. The megladon fried fish sandwich was very good. A lot of flaky well cooked fish but could have used more onion and tomato for such a large sandwich. The steamed oysters took forever to arrive and were only so so. Expected better oysters from a seaside establishment. No flavor and not well prepped. Sides were good though. All in all average food and great views which lends to the overall rating of 3 stars.

The server was incredible and the food was good. Love the ambiance of sitting next to the water. The menu was interesting with a good selection of dishes that caught my eye. The iced tea was and is fantastic! The prices was reasonable, more mid range but worth it.

For big groups and drinking I definitely recommend sitting outside but do not expect the food to be that great. However, if you are in a smaller group I would suggest going inside and getting a window seat as the food is much better in my opinion. We ordered a few house specials (some grouper I believe) and a bottle of wine, and it was great. Servers are very nice and we've never had to wait a long time.

I give this place 5 stars because of the service we received from our waiter, AJ. First off. Yelp apparently doesn't account for seasonal hours. When we first arrived, my sister and I thought we had roughly 2 hours before closing. But that was wrong and the wait staff wasn't very helpful in pointing that out. We sat and waited. I tried to wave down a server or two but no response. I went to the bar to ask if they were still serving and she sent out a saving grace, AJ. He was very polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest. I like that. The food was pretty tasty and the place was gorgeous. I would like to come back during the day and see the scenery when I have more time to linger. But only if AJ is working. Oh and get the key lime pie. It was delicious.

My margarita I had here was only so-so but the vibe, colors and everything about the look and feel of the place was spectacular. I didn't eat but if you're looking for a cool place with a major Florida feel to it, come here!

Awesome ambiance, casual beach bar vibe overlooking the inlet. Enjoyed a couple cold Sam Adams summer ales with raw oysters and steamed peel and eat shrimp. Oysters were good quality at a good price. I got the shrimp "voodoo" style...I don't recommend it...just a lot of paprika sprinkled over the shrimp that made them a mess to eat...go with the plain steamed and you will be happy. My daughter got the clam chowder. It was loaded with clams and she cleaned the bowl. My youngest daughter and wife went with a grilled chicken sandwich and a bacon cheese burger. Both were acceptable. Britny our server was super friendly, attentive, and efficient. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Wow! Food was out instantly... Because everything was either pre cooked or left over from an all you can eat menu. Fish Tacos-Cold. Fish Sandwich-Cold ... Small Portions. Very disappointing, been going there over 20 years. Had to send food back, and again, came back cold. The staff doesn't care because it's a touristy trap. The health department should drop in and check their holding temps for their pre cooked fried fish. It's unfortunate they have lazy cooks because the atmosphere is really nice.

Ate lunch here on a Friday. We arrived at 12:20 and were seated immediately. Service was good food was great! Calamari appetizer with Thai chili sauce = awesome! Oyster Po-boy and their "megladon" fish sandwich were hot and tasty. Fish sandwich was 3/4 lb of fish...wow, get a box to take it with you! Key Lime pie to finish it off... Oh my......

We have never been here before nor did we know where we were but close to the Ponce Lighthouse. We discovered this place with our GPS and found the "Juice Bar" of all Juice bars. The folks down here don't know how great this area of the country is with boats, live bands and good food. My wife and I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon with hardly anyone there and we were looking for Grouper but it wasn't on the menu but they had a Grouper Sandwich which was excellently. My wife had the appetizer which was the Shrimp wrapped in bacon sitting on top of slice of Pineapple which my wife said was out of site and excellent! If we ever get down this way again will try to go on the weekends but it will probably be a zoo with all the boaters and fishermen.

Great service, great food, beautiful view! Wonderful anniversary to remember! We went on a Sunday and enjoyed their live music. Even the sunset was perfect!

AJ was our server. He was attentive but not intrusive. I started with the Caprese salad, surprisingly it was excellent. My entrée was the snow crab legs, again excellent. Excellent service, excellent food. We will definitely be back. The band tonight was pretty badass as well. Then2now, R&B funk band. Best birthday night I've had in a while.

Love love this place..we hadn't been here in several years and coming back reminded me how great it was. Atmosphere with water and torches lighting the night. Fabulous band and the food was delish!!! I could sit here all night...great job! PS Food came out quick and staff is very attentive!!

I've been here several times for drinks so I can't comment on the food I don't remember the service being an issue. This place is accessible by land or sea I prefer coming by boat (less traffic and parking issues) great place for us locals to come and watch the tourist I guess they think what happens in Florida stays in Florida meanwhile their friends are posting to Facebook.

The reason for the 3 stars is definitely due to the discomfort of the chairs. Thank goodness we didn't have to sit on the backless stools or that would have been worse. There was a bit of a older smell to the hallways leading to the bathroom but thank goodness we were sitting outside. The view is very nice here. The service was very good, Anthony was very attentive and made great recommendations on the menu. The wine was decent and finally I got a glass of white wine in an actual glass.! the food was quite good I enjoyed my Caprese salad. the shrimp and grits was way too many grits for me but I think that's because I'm from California where we do more protein and veggies. The band was quite good it was for a generation before me but the folks out dancing we're having a great time. It was great entertainment.

Pro: Nice view and waterside patio. Food was passable. Con: Service was horrible. Server brought food and drinks then disappeared. Had to flag down a different employee just to get our check so that we could leave.

Awful and overpriced. Dry grilled fish, fried shrimp taste like pre frozen and the baked potato was cold. The only decent thing was the side salad. I'm going to Aunt Catfish's next time.

I came out here as part of a local car group event. I was not sure what to expect other than it was out in the touristy part of Florida (ie. trashy). It was pretty much what I expected. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about or even elaborate on really. The atmosphere was hot, sticky, loud and very much like being stuck in a Jimmy Buffet video shooting on location in hell. Food and service, as noted by most other reviewers, is very spotty. I assume that this place is a lot more fun if you have a bit of alcoholism in you. If not, it's really more obnoxious than cool. Just be warned that this isn't real Florida, this is the make believe fabricated tourist crap wrapped in plastic and pirates. Don't come here thinking you are going to get a great sense of Florida or a local meal. This is a place for drunks to come stare at boats and make fools of themselves (which is actually fun to watch). All of the above being said, it is still a solid three stars because they know what they are and they aren't trying to hide it. It is a waterfront eatery with lots of booze and a giant pirate out front. They don't hide it. Own it. Bravo to the local business that continues to perpetuate long standing stereotypes about Florida. (If you are a tourist don't be fooled, Florida is nothing like this place)

Fun place to take out of towners. Outdoor seating and site seeing pier. Bar and non-bar setting and a diverse menu with non-seafood items for those who do not do the fish thing.

  • Deirdre M.

The hostess and waitress were very nice and helpful. the white sangria was delicious. the shrimp with bacon was good but i think slightly overpriced. the key lie butter was very good with the bread. i got a pasta dish that was just ok, and my boyfriend got a chicken dish that he didn't like very much. overall, it was overpriced for what it was.

Wonderful location and atmosphere out on the deck. Food is decent - what you would expect from a beachside spot - good fish sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Fish Reuben is delicious. Lots of large shrimp in the pasta with shrimp dish. Fried foods can be overly greasy (greasier than usual at most places - like not drained well, or old oil perhaps). Service can be wonderful and fun, or hit-and-miss when it gets busy, depending on who you get. Drinks are in very small plastic cups but prices are reasonable. Often has very nice live music on the deck. A fun place to go when you're in the area.

As a local I would say this place ALWAYS has Great food, Great service & Amazing views. It's really that simple. I've ordered everything from seafood to burgers to sandwiches to salads and it's always awesome. Live music + Amazing waterfront views = Something you just can't beat.

The place is good, fun atmosphere. went there on Saturday night. Party of 9 and they handle the reservation and had everything ready when we got there. the grilled mahi sandwich was awesome. Had the clam chowder and it was great tasting. The only complaint would be the calamari was expensive and over cooked but we ate it anyway. I would go back there.

  • Tamara R.

Food was good, but the service was very slow. We went on a Sunday night, so they weren't too busy, but I think we waited at least 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Great outdoor seating and fun, live music.

If this review was based solely on the food, I'd give it five-stars. The clam chowder is perfect - creamy, good level of seasoning, perfect amount of clams, potatoes, celery and carrots. We tried to get the recipe from just about everyone there, but they don't give it out as it's a 50 year old recipe. The Seafood Newburg was outstanding. I loved the shrimp and crab cakes, and the hush puppies were great - not too dry with lots of flavor. My problem with this place is definitely not food related. I was down in the area on vacation with my family. We had a group of 7 the first time we went there. I had called earlier in the day asking about reservations and was told they only do call ahead seating (call us when you're on the way, and we put you at the top of the list at that moment). I called as we were heading out and was told we were at the top of the list and they were running a 20 minute wait. The restaurant is 15 minutes from where we were staying so it was going to work out perfectly. When we got to the restaurant, however, we were told that it was still going to be a 20-25 minute wait. I was confused as to what the call ahead seating actually did. Not only that, but I counted six empty tables as we sat at the bar waiting to be seated. We enjoyed the meal so much that we wanted to go back on our last night. Again, we called when we were leaving, this time with a party of 9. They said they were running a 25-30 minute wait, but we were put at the top of the list. We arrived 15 minutes later and were told that we would have to wait an hour and a half. I told the person we had call ahead seating, and she merely apologized and said they had a couple of big parties come in. I get that, but we had call-ahead seating because we were a big party as well and how does a wait go from 25 minutes to 90 minutes in only 15 minutes. I felt like I was on Seinfeld when he was trying to get the rental car. Anybody can take the reservation - it's really about holding the reservation. Needless to say, we left immediately and went to another place. The food is good, but not wait-an-hour-and-a-half-good.

My experience would have been better if I had actually seen some manatees. Lowlights: our server Dez was not at all attentive and I'm pretty sure he took a 20 minute smoke break during our dinner. The bread resembled Olive Garden breadsticks that were clearly frozen before arriving at the table. They advertised their scallops and shrimp as being 'marinated' in lemon oil or mango.. When they really meant they just give you a side of whichever you choose and you're left to self marinate at the table. Food was just ok. Fried food seemed to be the better choice.. Since its hard to mess up. Highlight(s): only one. The dinner included a salad. Oh, and I did enjoy sitting by the water.. Even if the manatees were in hiding. I'd recommend sticking to the outdoor bar for drinks only and eating somewhere else.

After eating here for the first time it is my new favorite waterfront restaurant/bar. The fish tacos were the freshest I've had in the daytona area and the service was awesome. The tropical atmosphere was great it's like being right on the water. Totally loved it and will be back for sure!

Not bad, however seafood is frozen. Being on the water expected fresh fish and shrimp not so. They should try harder.

We came here because I REALLY wanted some steamed oysters. Once our waitress arrived, she told us that they had run out of oysters for the day. I was very bummed. However, the sweet Hawaiian rolls with key lime butter soothed my disappointment, and I ordered the strip steak -- which was perfectly medium rare as ordered, but not very flavorful -- with sides of seasoned seasonal veggies and a house salad; white sangria washed it all down deliciously. I plan on returning for steamed oysters this week.

Appetizer was conch fritters. Greasy and undercooked. Wife's entree was some concoction of shrimp, mushrooms and pasta in some undistinguishable sauce. My entree was shrimp and grits. Some of the grits were cold. Bill was $50! I guess you pay for the view which is on the river. We will not be back.

We asked the front desk of our hotel for a seafood recommendation and sadly this is where they sent us. We had seen it before when we were visiting the lighthouse but hadn't stopped in. We had high hopes as it seems like a nice enough place and it was...but surely there is better, especially for the price and quantity. No joke a 20$ plate of scallops came with about 6 tiny scallops and a small baked sweet potato. If it wasn't for the bread and salad? I would have been starving. Pro? The views and the service but really, you can see the views without having to spend an arm and a leg on seafood that wasn't fresh.

We love going on Friday or Saturday nights as they always have a band and people actually get up and dance. The band Then2Now was there and they play songs people like and get up to dance for. We tried the fish tacos and they were tasty. Initially, the service was great but things went down hill. We got up to dance leaving our food and drinks. We had eaten a little over 1/2 our food so we really did not except our table to be cleared. As we were dancing my husband just happened to look over and a waiter...not ours was clearing our table. We could not believe it. What was he thinking. People all around were getting up to dance and leaving tables. They have a band what do they expect. My husband had to rush from the dance floor and stop him. Really? I was left to dance by myself while he dealt with the issue. Back at our table we decided to order dessert. Just one piece of Key Lime Pie to share. Out comes the pie and I had to laugh. It looked like a child sized piece of pie. I asked our waiter about it and he just shrugged his shoulders. Needless to say we each got two small bites and it was gone. It was not enough for one person. It appeared to be store bought and just defrosted and served. The thing is when we got our bill for the tiny piece of pie we were in shock. That tiny piece of pie was $5.95. You must be kidding. We can go to Rossi's and get a home made large piece of pie for 1/2 the price. Could buy a whole pie at Publix for that price. What a rip off. Now things went from bad to worse. After eating our pie we got up again to dance again as we liked to song. Keep in mind we had not receive our check yet so we thought we were safe to get up. As we were dancing for a few songs we looked up and not only had our table been cleared three young ladies were now sitting at our table. What! It was really busy and hard to find tables so I could see why they sat down. We had to flag down our waiter and pointed out what happened. He told us well tables are first come first serve. Hello! We found the table and we were not done yet. We wanted to have some after dinner drinks and continue to listen to the band and dance. We would have easily spent another $20 on drinks. He did nothing to help us. He brought us our bill on the dance floor. So there is my husband and I on the dance floor while my husband is getting out his wallet and handing the waiter our credit card to pay the bill. Then juggling to sign the check. It was awkward and I was embarrassed. We could have easily just walked out as the waiter would have no idea where we went and when he went to the table different people were there. To add insult to injury after he told us too bad so sad about the table and the people who took it, he went straight to our former table and started to serve the table and take drink orders. Nice! No wonder why he blew us off. He saw this as an opportunity to make more $$$. Needless to say we left and I doubt we would be back.

We visited this place for our anniversary - with the kids. We were surprised at the wait time for a few sandwiches. We had to leave after an hour and took our food to go. We called Axel who did apologize and was great. We gave it another go yesterday. Sorry to say, he was not there and we never have to go back here again. My shrimp, the platter, was ice cold when it came out. I told the food runner and it came back not long after and obviously microwaved. The shrimp was soooooo overdone. I told the server as well when she asked how was it but, no concession or concern that I was not satisfied. It seems all they have going for them is the view. Not happy.

We've been here before and it was good but tonight was so bad we refuse to go back. This review is mainly based on service. We were there with a party of about 30. The waitress would not allow us to order because she was only taking appetizer orders so we said fine we would wait. About an hour later we finally got her attention and she was willing to allow me to order because I'm pregnant but refused to get my husbands order. Mind you he has been starving since we first arrived. I told her to cancel my order but she didn't and I sent it back. There is no reason why we should not be allowed to order when we have been patiently waiting and only those who want appetizer or alcohol can easily get service. They need to work on the service before bike week comes back around. Also, they have these heaters that hang from the ceiling. They work great but it dropped black suet down on the table, in our drinks, on our clothes and faces. It was disgusting. Inlet harbor, if your reading this maybe you should have the heaters cleaned.

Slow and inattentive. We waited 10 minutes for a table on wednesday 3-19-14, even though there were lots of open tables. My wife's prime rib and baked potato were cold... not warm, actually cold. they reheated the prime rib after we had to flag down a server because ours couldn't be found. The seafood was great. Blackened snapper, crab legs and shrimp cocktail all superior. They forgot my coleslaw. Overall a poor experience and we will not be going back.

Food was typical pub-quality deep-fried food. But the view is beautiful. Nice setting - sitting outside, right on the water. We stayed to watch the sunset, and a live band played great upbeat songs the whole time.

A little off the beating path but it was worth it. Grouper was good, portions were large, my wife had the salmon and was very happy. The clam chowder was outstanding and the bowl is almost a meal all by itself. There us a playground for the kids and the kids saw dolphins suing by the marina. They also had good live music .

Very nice, casual place for dinner. Our party had, fried shrimp, crab legs, and Jamaican chicken breast. All were outstanding. The server was very good. He always seemed to check on us at the right time.

We were in town and decided to go to watch the fish being weighed. The beer was hot and the food was horrible . My husband had ahi tuna and it came out fried. I ordered sweet potato fries and they were not edible. I also ordered caprese salad and the tomatoes were not ripe. I would never go back there again. What a disappointment!!Bar rescue needs to go in there and salvage this restaurant.

Significantly improved compared to a year ago. Fried oysters, calamari, shrimp, and fish were excellently prepared with light crisp coatings. Everyone enjoyed their meals which in addition to the items listed above also included crab cakes and prime rib. The prime rib was prepared better than the one my father ordered at the Chart House a few days earlier. Service was good. It is a little pricey, which is why I only gave it 4 stars.

If I could put a zero, I would. Where to start? The food took over an hour , it was Luke warm except the veggies which were very hot (can you say microwave?). We ordered from the gluton free menu......they put hush puppies on the dish. Then the manager comes over and saying yes they dropped the ball, but it's been a whole TWO weeks since anything like this has happened. This place can't be turning a profit, or people keep going there because they are dumb and have no sense of taste. It's a ZERO. McDonalds has better food and service.

I wouldn't call this place a tourist trap, but its not a NICE, TAKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND ON YOUR FIRST DATE kind of place. They make some good Mahi Sandwiches here. I like the food here. Anything you order is going to be better than any other restaurant in the area. Don't forget to take your leftovers and feed the fish from the pier.

I'm the kind of person that is like chef Ramsey, I like my food to be fresh and I expect it to be when I go to a restaurant especially when it's by the water. Everything was frozen food that had been dropped in a fryer. I can buy it and do that myself. On top of that the waitress messed up my order and I had to wait for my other plate. :/ waste of money and time

We pulled into Daytona Beach and saw signs advertising "Shrimp Fest" and followed them to this place. We took seats at the outside bar. First thing I noticed was that our server had to run to the other bar across the restaurant for virtually everything that was ordered: margarita salt, tequila, Sam Adams, ice. It was comical. Then he got our order wrong, which wasn't so comical. I ordered the overpriced Shrimp Fest platter - $12.99 for six shrimp, cole slaw, a hush puppy, and cheese grits. I also ordered the $6.99 add-on for six additional shrimp to share with my wife. C---- punched in two complete platters instead. I didn't argue about it, but I should have. First the drinks. The margaritas were very weak and very sour and small, even by Florida tourist destination standards. They were so bad, in fact, that I did something I rarely do, I ordered a bottled beer for my next drink. The shrimp was all pre-cooked and served out of chafing dishes. There is no excuse for not cooking shrimp to order, even during a busy event like Shrimp Fest. Shrimp take little time to cook, and overcooking them is very easy to do. Cooking them and keeping them warm in chafing dishes ensures that your shrimp will be uniformly overcooked and dry. They were. Sadly, they were also tasteless and cold. Not only that, but we waited at least as long as it would have taken to cook them to order. The cheese grits were instant grits with shredded cheese dumped in at serving. Again, real grits aren't that difficult to cook in batches, and taste so much better. The hush puppy was doughy, and the cole slaw was some shredded cabbage drowned in a disappointing dressing. I was shocked at the number of smokers lighting up all around the restaurant. I've grown accustomed to smoke-free eating, and I like it. Luckily it was a windy day. The best things I can say about this restaurant are that the parking is free and plentiful, and the bathrooms were pretty clean at 1:30 p.m. on a busy Saturday. The view was okay, but I'd trade a waterfront view for good food any day of the week.

Stopped in and our party of 3 were first ones for lunch. Waited 15 minutes to order. Another 15-20 for food. My ahi tuna sliders "sushi quality" we're grilled. Daughters chicken sandwich over fried. Wife's fish sandwich was huge and the only positive. My unsweetened tea was refilled with sweat despite waitress asking me for unsweetened refill. Overall, service poor, food fair.

I was not impressed with this place whatsoever. As a young adult (20s), I would not go here again. If you're looking for a tacky, touristy restaurant, then this is the place for you. Food was cold and the drinks were awful. It was way too loud (screaming kids) and way too overpriced. Its only redemption might be the outside deck (I was inside), which overlooks the water. There are more unique--and better priced--places out there.

My husband and I have been to this place several times and try to get here when we're in town visiting family. I have to say, I've had better meals on previous visits, though the experience over all wasn't bad. This time we sat outside on the covered deck, instead of in the main dining room. The inside dining is nice, but we were there on a very rainy day and sitting outside watching the rain on the water was nice. The rain was very loud on the canopy overhead, making conversation a little difficult, but not a huge problem and not their fault. I had a FANTASTIC pina colada made with Sailor Jerry's rum; possibly the best part of my meal. The outdoor tables are high, bar-type tables with high stools. Comfy enough. My shrimp dinner started with a Caesar salad that was fairly basic (iceberg lettuce, TONS of grated cheese and lots of dressing) but I loved it anyway. The fried shrimp were ok - though a little rubbery, and served with remarkably unremarkable rice pilaf that tasted just like the boxed variety we make at home. Over all it was ok, though past visits were awesome. We'll probably be back sometime, but I think we're taking it off the "gotta do when we're in Florida" list.

Service horrible! Waitress extremely rude, didn't welcome us. Brought out of food, 3 minutes later asked if we were done and wanted dessert. The place was pretty dead at around 8pm where we were eating. She also knocked over one of our beers, said she's get us another one and then charged us for it?!??!!? Food is overpriced, nothing special. Just your typical Florida seafood place that has fried fish, shrimp and oysters. No specialty items, NOTHING unique (except for rude service). Really people, go somewhere else. This is just a tourist trap (why else would they have a gift shop in the restaurant). You can check out the harbor, dolphins, fish and NOT go to the restaurant.

Typical tourist trap type restaurant. At least it's cleaner than Down the Hatch and it has a pretty nice gift shop when you're looking for something to bring for your friends back home. I found some nice soaps in there for our bathroom here too. lol. I must say the view is really great, and the coconut shrimp is fairly good, so it's not too bad. But another sort of "margaritaville wannabee" type place. But that's OK--it's how they stay in business. The food isn't terrible, I've just had way better food elsewhere for the kind of $$ they charge. You're really paying for the atmosphere more than anything, I think.

Good fried shrimp here. Key lime butter for the bread was tasty. Nice wooden pirate ship the kids could play on.

You can see a beautiful sunset from Inlet Harbor Restaurant but that is all this place has going for it. After a long wait between salad and main course the waiter apologized and said the kitchen was backed up, however the restaurant was only half full. When our meals came (there were 5 of us) the fried shrimp was overlooked with a coating that tasted mostly of flour with no seasoning, the mahi was dry and tough. We all doubted that the seafood was fresh although the mahi was listed as such. The menu is limited in its selection of seafood with few interesting entrees. In addition, there are no GF or vegetarian offerings. This restaurant needs to update its menu and offer some fresh and properly cooked meals.

My husband and I stopped into the indoor restaurant for breakfast, they had just opened and we had a view of dolphins at our breakfast window. Our waiter was extremely nice and really on top of things. Fantastic service, and if we do go back it will be the indoor restaurant because it was great!

Decent place. Great scenery and ambiance. A little dated. Nice little gift shop attached, but strangely did not feel touristy. Fish sandwich and fish Reuben were excellent. Harbor salad ($8.99) and added shrimp ($5.99) were tasty, but small for what you pay. Literally 4 very small shrimp on a wooden skewer. Good service-very attentive and friendly.

We thought because this place was on the inter coastal the seafood would bet good. We were disappointed with the food quality . The Mahi was dry, tasteless and over cooked. The sandwich had the same amount of Mahi as the dinner but was about $5 cheaper. Really disappointed and won't good back. When asked how dinner wasn't we said fair and there was no response. I will say the clam chowder was great.

This place has some of the worst service I have EVER had. Not only did it take over an hour to get our food (which was fish tacos, a club, and a fish sandwich) which lets be honest here, those don't take long to make at all. The fish sandwich was dry and cold, and the fish tacos were WAY over sauced and were soggy as hell. Then when I went to say something about it to my waitress all she said was okay and took my plate. No I'm sorry, no ill fix it, nothing. Just an okay. Not a would you like to talk to a manager. Nothing. AND it was still on my bill. It was outrageous. The restaurant maybe had 5 tables in it. By far the worst service I had ever had. The only thing that kept me here was the music. The band was great.

I found the food & atmosphere were great. I had the caribbean chicken sandwich...was perfectly seasoned n cooked. My hubby had the chicken tenders, they were also just right. We went for lunch, so, too hot to set out on the deck, but inside was nice by the big windows...2 dolphins entertained several times....;) The staff were all very friendly. Will go back, next trip to Daytona.

I give it 4 stars not because of the food and atmosphere, but really because I can take leftover fries from my companions' plates and feed them to the swarms of catfish along the dock. I've been there 3 times while on vacation with my wife's family, and eating outside by the inlet with the live music is the only way to go here. The food is not good enough to actually eat inside. The outside deck and music scream Floridian cheesiness, but I'm pretty sure that's why you would come here (that's why I do). They also have an eclectic playground for the kids. The food is mostly OK with some gems. There is plenty of non-seafood fare. If you want the best bang for your buck, get the Mucho Nachos. Say "No" to the philly cheese steak. Coconut shrimp are good. Last time I was there, I got blackened mahi mahi that was very tasty, and was possibly cooked over hickory. My wife liked the grilled scallops. In the end, with the picturesque sunsets and breezy deck, feeding the ravenous catfish while listening to broken down versions of jimmy buffet songs...I'm not sure I care what I'm eating...but a nice fruity drink can come in handy.

Very lively and lots of dancing with a great band! It's another one of those seat yourselves and we went on a Friday night so we had to wait a while beofre grabbing a table. Our server was friendly and quick. I ordered the shrimp & grits -YUM!!! My husband got the fish tacos and was really disappointed. He almost choked on the wasabi cream and jalapeno relish as there was way too much on there and the spice/heat factor was just way too much, even for him. The fish was friend and not even cut up, just thrown on the plate but he loved my entree! We'll be back next year!

It's the perfect tourist trap ...meaning it offers a locally-flavored ambiance, great views of the waterway, fun dance music, lousy food at high prices and - oh yes - a gift shop!

This place is nasty! My husband and I went here for dinner around 9 PM only to be told they were serving drinks and no food. The music was way too loud (like having someone bang a drum inside of your body), and when my parents went for lunch, they said they wanted to vomit. My mother's soup was cold and lumpy and it came from a can.

We took a water taxi to the restaurant (the boat ride is nice). The restaurant is the furthest top on the water taxi so we decided to go to it. The water taxi had some coupons (always searching for a bargain) and the place was right on the Inter Coastal Waterway, so the setting is great. They had quality food and pleasant service. Worth the trip over. Don't forget the Key Lime pie if you go....d-lish.

Nice location. Good fish tacos--not too much. Chicken sandwich with banana/ mango mayonnaise is amazing!. I would never have ordered this, but my son did, and it is off the hook! A few 4 star qualities, but maybe a touch pricy for what you get. Pretty good mixed drinks. I hate paying $8-9 for a drink that tastes like cool-aid, but these were pretty good. Waitress pleasant but could have been more attentive. too bad for her too--the bar bill may have been larger, meaning bigger tips for her.

i enjoyed my meal at this place. the catch of the day was very fresh and cooked nicely. the service was great. the only downside was i couldn't hear any of my friends because the music was so loud! i guess it adds to the ambiance but i wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking to converse with people in your party. otherwise - it's pretty good and you're bound to enjoy your meal.

I like the place. The atmosphere is above average for a marina/restaurant and the food is good. I did not like my experience with getting gas for my boat. The pumps were blocked by boaters not getting gas. The dock boy did not free my line as he stood over it. Instead he decided to yank it free through my upholstery. This of course left a nasty little rope burn hole. I would not get gas at this place unless you are desperate. Tie your boat up yourself. The restaurant part of the place is worth checking out though..

What has happened to this place??? We have been coming to the Ponce Inlet/Daytona area for 20 years and this used to be one of our favorites. The staff is not friendly, the bands they book are not very good and the food is mediocre at best. The location is fantastic...what a waste of beautiful scenery. Please....bring it back to where it was.

Okay, I reviewed this place early in March, and didn't give it great reviews. BUT . . . once I heard from friends that they had a new chef who'd turned the place around, I gave it another shot. And I'm so glad I did! I've been back twice, since, and have been pleased both times. Seared ahi tuna arrived cooked perfectly to my request (warm and rare) and in a generous portion. The side salad proved huge and was more than your typical "salad in a bag" style of side dish. The freshly made vinegarette dressing was delish! Now . . . the New England clam chowder, oh, my! The "bowl" could have easily served two--and did--as my husband devoured what I couldn't finish. Plenty of perfectly diced carrots, celery and potatoes rounded out the generous amount of clam in the creamy chowder. On our return trip, the burgers were perfectly cooked (mine very well done, his medium-rare), and the fries were awesome. Our son's chicken sandwich was out of this world. I'll definitely order it sometime soon. Kudos to the new chef! You've managed to turn around the service (never had to ask for drink refills), bring the food up several notches, and the new arrangement of tables on the deck allows for room to move. Thanks for doing a great job!

I end up here about once a year. It seems as soon as I forget how lousy the service is, I'm back. For drinks and some music, the place is alright. For food- forget it. The food is mediocre, the service sucks, the management could care less as the tourist keep the place full. If you want something good to eat, there are some good places near by. Give this one a pass unless you want to spend time in a touristy trap with dodgy clientele.

So-so food, ambiance and view. Food tasted like a frozen Costco reheat. Salad was best thing. Went with a friend. Full of red hat ladies. Popular with bus tours, I am told.

This is an average place with a great location. I have been here dozens of times though, and will still go back. I give the deck and food/drink 4 stars. Typical fried bar fare is good, and the drinks are decent. The live music, torches and atmosphere make it a fun place to have a drink with friends. The inside restaurant I have never been impressed with. I find the food average at best, and the prices sky high. Decor and ambiance is touristy, but hey, it is a tourist area. I give the inside 2 stars, putting it at 3 overall. If you are looking for some bar type food and a few beers while the sun goes down over the intercoastal, by all means give this a shot. If you are looking for a nice sit down dinner, skip.

As yearly Florida vacationers, my family and I are accustomed to the normal situations that arise when you are in Florida trying to get a table for dinner while on vacation- long wait, busy restaurants, somewhat lacking service. I would call myself incredibly patient when these sort of events occur. Unfortunately, on the night we went there, I almost lost that patience that I so proudly claim to have. First, the restaurant takes reservations on Opentable, which I took advantage of, but as it turns out... it didn't matter one bit. We ended up waiting another 30 minutes AFTER my reservation to get a table. If you are going to use Opentable and take reservations, you MUST honor them and be prepared for what honoring reservations means. Not the greatest start. Next, we're placed at a table and our server, Mary, came and took our drink orders and food orders very quickly. She is the reason this restaurant is getting the one star it is getting, as she was the only positive experience we had at this restaurant. She warned us ahead of time that the kitchen was backed up and put our orders in asap, while checking in on us and keeping our water glasses full and updating us on the status of our food every 15 minutes or so. ...fast forward about 80 minutes from when we sat down. We are still waiting, quietly but hungrily, and there are multiple conflicts surrounding us. First, there were tons of tables that were not bussed- just sitting there, with dirty dishes, while families with small children had been waiting outside for over an hour. We watched a family with small children wait for over 40 minutes just for salad and bread, and by the time it came out, they got up and left the restaurant because their children were so miserable and hungry. Second, there was a situation at a table behind us where a woman was infuriated with the bus boy and waitress (for reasons I know nothing about) and called the seat manager over to complain. Instead of then taking the bus boys and waitress away from the public eye to have the discussion, he decided to chastise them on the spot! Never, EVER, would I consider this a good idea. Now mind you, this lady was very loud and I would even say a little over the top with her frustration, but that is no way to treat your employees. Finally, we do get our food, but when we do, my mother's fish is bone dry and my crabcakes were at least 50% filler. I think I'll stick to my native Virginia for the crabcakes from now on. Our waitress was incredibly apologetic and offered us key lime pie on the house to take home, which we gladly accepted. We still gave her a 20% tip since it was not her fault, but we bolted out of there as fast as possible, never getting a single apology from the management for the situation at hand. We got there at 7pm... and did not leave until about 9:45pm. To top it all off, I got sick off my meal. I threw it up about 90 minutes after I ate it. The toilet and I were friends all night long. Not a great experience at all, and I would say during the entirety of my week in Daytona Beach, it was the worst restaurant my family and I visited.

This is a great place to eat outside, enjoy looking at the water, and ducking seagulls. I got the blackened mahi-mahi sandwich, with fries. It was surpringly good. In the Daytona Beach area it is difficult to find good restaurants, especially ones on the water that might be frequented by tourists that won't be back a second time. If you are in the mood to eat, on the water, and don't mind seagulls and lovebugs, give it a try.

  • Chuck F.

Ok, you're not coming here for the food, you're coming here to hang by the water. I don't think i ever ordered anything that after I ate said, 'wow, that was really good.' This applies to the outdoor section. I've never eaten indoors.

Great food. Great music. Great deck. Amazing view of the water. Make sure to watch the sunset! We saw dolphins while in the river while we were there. Make sure to get the pan seared sesame ahi tuna!

I've been here many times and their food is mediocre but its a fun atmosphere. Their located right on the Halifax River so the views are great and you can sit outside watching the boats cruise by. They also have live music I believe on weekend nights.

The view here is pretty awesome. But that makes the rest of my trip anti climactic. The service was ok. The waitress kept my cup full successfully 85% of the time. However, the food was a major let down. We ordered calamari, clam chowder, and I got the horseradish crusted mayo while my girlfriend got the catch of the day. The calamari was good in its sweet chili sauce. The chowder was a major let down. I am an enthusiast when it comes to clam chowder and this was rather bland and not worth the order. The side salad was large and good. The crusted mahi was ok. The crust didn't taste of horseradish at all, or much of anything for that matter. The risotto it was on top of was inedible due to the saltiness. But hey, at least the wilted spinach was good. Overall this place was a letdown and if I am going to drop 70 bucks on food, I expect a restaurant to know how to cook it. I wont be coming back.

This is a great place to go out and have seafood if you're tired of the typical Red Lobster atmosphere. While certainly not stuffy, the place is a bit more upscale than your average Daytona area restaurant, with prices to match. I tend to prefer smaller, homier restaurants, but the food here is really quite good so I have to recommend it. There's and outdoor bar and giftshop as well, though I haven't spent much time at either.

Not the best seafood. My husband and I were staing in New Smyrna and decided to take the water taxi over to Ponce Inlet, It stops at Downt eh Hatch and Inlet Harbor. We had been to Down the Hatch in teh last couple of years so decided to try Inlet Harbor. We sat outside on the deck, which is fun becasue youwatch all the boats go by. There was also a live band which was entertaining to watch people try to dance. Unfortunatly, the food was awful. We decided to get drinks and split a few appetizers. I have a pretty tough stomach, but I felt like I was going to barf after five minutes. I think it was the "angels on horseback" (bacon wrapped oysters). They were very greasy. It's too bad becasue they have a great location, and they do pakc the people in there, but the food is just not good.
